wow, imagine that! Washing your hands and not letting people sneeze on you can keep you from getting sick! So much different than what we should already do every day.

Media= crazy weirdos

I like how the "medical community" is the cast of Grey's Anatomy. haha I wish I had watched this guy when I was a little boy.

I especially appreciated how Uncle Jay interjected the phrase "boys and girls" as often as possible. I wonder if his name is really Jay...or if he's really an uncle.

Yeah it's amazing how far handsoap goes. Anyways it's really surprising how we have this mass craze over swine flu when AIDS is still a bigger global problem.
Oh well hopefully the great state of Texas will shut down the schools for 2 weeks. SPRING BREAK PART 2!

Hopefully all the little kids will listen to Uncle Jay and wash there hands and keep their germs to themselves. I hope that Texas doesn't close school cause then that means that we are going to have a shorter summer or that it will be added to the next school year.

I've heard that swine flu is pretty mild, and doesn't really get much worse than the type of flu you can get during regular flu season. If simply washing your hands will raise your chances of avoiding the illness, then I really think it shouldn't be too hard to avoid a pandemic.

hahaha this is great. "...and it's not just republicans, kids"

so, just a little random fact. My dad, being a TTU faculty member, received an email today informing the faculty and staff that at this year's commencement ceremonies there will be no hand-shaking due to fear of spreading/contracting swine flu. Also, they ensured everyone that hand sanitizer will be available at various venues in the united spirit arena..Really??! Good one, Texas Tech..I think this one goes a little too far.

The video was a cool way of explaining more about swine flue.
I don't know in a way I kind of think that people are over exhagerating a little bit, because its not exactly near us yet and everybody is getting so worried about it. Washing your hands and just keeping germs away is what people should really be doing every day, so that is nothing new.
I'm just hoping it doesn't spread as fast as everybody is thinking.

Definitely don’t worry about anything…really; it was all a huge stupid scare! Stay calm and wash your hands…wow such a new concept, I’m so glad we have such intelligent people telling us what to do with such new and radical ideas. I really loved the republican comment; I kind of laughed a lot with that one. The medical professionals of Grey’s anatomy – we should definitely put all of our trust in these people, they look very trust worthy especially with the Hannibal Lector mask.

of course we have always known that sneezing on someone can get you sick and if you dont wash your hands, but we never put it to actual use, i mean yah we wash our hands after the bathroom and stuff an say "ew" after someone sneezes on us but after it happens we just forget about it, we need to be more aware!

Where has Uncle Jay been all my life? Why couldn't I have watched him instead of Sesame Street when i was a kid?
I think this post was HILARIOUS! But Uncle Jay proposed a good question, where exactly did all of this hysteria over the Swine Flu come from? It makes me wonder if there was really something greater at hand that we were not informed of.

From what I heard, the fuss is beginning to die down but I really wish some contaminated person would be found in Lubbock and quarantined so that we didn't have to go to school for the last two weeks like my friends in Plano.
I'm still upset that the LHS Aquatic Science trip to SA and Corpus was canceled due to this 'claimed' flu. oh well, 13 more days!

I think my favorite part of that was Pumba on the map...and Meredith Grey. Just her presence comforts me. I mean, on Grey's Anatomy they bring people back from the brink of death all the time. Swine flu is nothing compared to that. I'm not afraid!

Its funny how some people are more concerned about Swine Flu then HIV. I guess there is soap and other cautions for Swine. While the only thing for preventing HIV is a lousy condom! Oh well protection it is!!!

AlexanderHerrera7 said...

LOL!! This guy is awesome, he makes it so simple, "wash your hands & dnt get sick from somebody else." Yeah, but he does tell the truth about todays epidemics in the world, but the "mexican flu," isnt that kind of rasist giving the swine flu that name?

haha i like how the airplane scene was from the movie airplane. which by the way is a really funny movie! and now after watching this the only thing i want to do is go out and buy gloves and a mask to wear around town. got to be protected!

baylessdrum3 said...

I'm so glad that the government figured out that washing hands can help you to not get sick.

But,maybe if there was hot water or even soap in our public school bathrooms we wouldn't have to worry about the swine flu.

"..and try not to get thrown up on." haha, really all you can do is use your common sense like uncle jay said. I think masks are mainly just a psychological placater, there's only so much protection against communicable diseases it can provide. I remember during the SARS hysteria everyone at the airport and on planes were wearing masks. I think it's uncomfortable and annoying but i guess it does give people peace of mind....somewhat.

KatelynnDabbs_1 said...

i wonder why people/kids need a show to tell them that bein thrown up upon is not the best use of your time?
he is pretty funny although he has oldman creeper eyes

Aztec_king90 said...

Haha good stuff! I feel alot safer now that I know how to stay from getting sick! haha God bless yncle jay!

joshochoa54321 said...

haha i find it very ironic that people are freaking out about the flu, people die from the flu every year. I also loved how he used the Grey's anatomy characters for the "medical community."

JaredRauch1st said...

Yep. Like ive been saying. Its all because of the media and their crazy "facts". We have bigger problems than this right now. None of which are discussed by our great news broadcasters.

Chris Rodriguez 7 said...

Man i guess the teachers really are smart i mean they have been telling us to always wash our hands and to sneeze or cough on anybody there jus as smart as uncle jay and scientist.

miguelsmith7th said...

So basically if we wash our hands, and stay away from people with the sickness we'll be ok. See u learn something everyday!

"HYSTERIA"- and i agree with uncle jay. But I love the thought that he is addressing us as "boys and girls" just like some morning disney channel show. Well

Mike Onion 3 said...

I think this was funny because he was telling us stuff that you should tell a little kid. To wash your hands and cover your mouth. Oh and by the way isnt pontiac made by gm????? and not chrysler.

Jeffrey Killeen 5 said...

i loved how he changed masks every couple of seconds and the cast of Grey's anatomy is not only a "medical community" but also are Star Wars fans. it makes sense that the "hysteria" came from the internet and television. I'm going to miss the grand slam breakfast :(

Hahahaha!!! lol omg i love uncle jay! Hes soooo cool :) lol i loved that pic of the little girl kissing the pig! i can only imagine the peolpe that flipped out when they saw that!! lol i think obamas right we just need to calm down and not take everything out of proportion there are bigger problems going on right now and we dont need the swine flu coming in and making that much more of a problem for out country!!!!

andrealuker4 said...

I must say I do enjoy the photo editing in this video and how it was pieced together was pretty clever as well.
Oh, Swine flu, you will never cease to be funny. Well, unless it does become a huge pandemic, but I seriously doubt it.

ash.flee_09 said...

I like when the kid licks the pig and he tells the pig to refrin from lickin the child. haha. Uncle Jay is pretty amazing. Im not going to lie.

cynthiacastillo3 said...

Wow! i like he says we should be calm and collected yet he shows us these pictures of Obama with a mask on. Haha it hilarious- this big uprising. anyways I will definately wash my hands everyday and try not to get thrown up on.

This was awsome so great i already knew how to keep from getting sick yes! But this is a cool thing that this guy does break it all down.

Ralph Molina 7th said...

This is funny. I think im just gunna walk around in an airtight suit from now on cause apparently my mask isnt efficient enough!!! Swine flu is stupid. We should have gotten to play more baseball!!!!!
