Some general thoughts on this situation...
I've been following news stories about this, and to be honest, it has me really worried. I've been hoping in vain that there's actually nothing to worry about, but it looks like that isn't going to work for me.
Must be working for Bush's handlers though, otherwise they just have no idea what to do or say. I get the impression that the white house just wants to put band-aids on things until a new president has been elected, so that they can dump their mess on his hands.
Things like this have happened a lot with Bush as president. Maybe not quite to this extent, but still, it's hardly surprising anymore. Worrying yes, but not shocking.
Maybe I haven't really been paying attention to the news lately, but now that you mention it, it does seem like I haven't heard anything about the president lately...
Maybe he's decided to keep a low profile, since almost everytime he gives a public speech, he makes another sort of infamous grammatical error.
I'd have to say this is a very inappropriate time to disappear though...
Since I haven't heard my parents complaining about a depression...I guess I've just assumed things aren't as bad as some people have said. I should probably look into it some more.
